How do I find an attorney by name?

Go to Find a Lawyer and switch to the "Attorneys By Name" tab. You can search by an attorney or law firm's name, with an optional location.

How do I find an attorney for my legal issue?

Go to Find a Lawyer and use the "Attorneys By Legal Issue" tab. Select a legal issue and enter your city, ZIP code, or county to see attorneys who handle that type of case near you.

Do you have any search tips?

Keep your legal issue selection specific (for example, "Divorce" or "Car Accidents" rather than a broad category) and include your location to get the most relevant results.

I can't find an attorney I'm looking for. Does that mean something is wrong?

No. Not every attorney has a profile on Lawyer Directory. An attorney's absence from our directory says nothing about their standing or license. To verify an attorney's license status, contact your state's bar association.

I have a problem with an attorney I found through the directory. What do I do?

Lawyer Directory is a directory service and is not able to resolve disputes between clients and attorneys. If you believe an attorney has acted unethically, contact your state's attorney discipline or bar association.
